Farm City Day

Several years ago the Farm-City Day Committee voted to hold this event every other year. We had hoped to return to an annual event in 2016. However this will not be possible. Due to multiple factors including a difficult economic climate, the cost of the event and the need for more than 100 volunteers it is just not feasible for this year.

We do have some good news! Keeping with our goal to educate the community about agriculture we will facilitate farm tours for every school that is interested in getting their second graders out to a working farm in 2016-2017. Also we are very excited to announce that Karr Dairy Farm in Hornell will host Farm-City Day in September 2017! Special thanks to the Karr Family for undertaking this huge event!

Farm-City Day is an educational, fun filled day on the farm where the public can get a first-hand, behind the scenes look at how a modern dairy farm operates. Come out and celebrate our local agriculture community at the annual Steuben County Farm-City Day again in September 2017!
