Money Topics for Millennials, X & Y Gen's

  • Thursday, October 12, 2017, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Third session in the series covers Retirement and Financial Advisors

We have all heard the saying that the early bird gets the worm, and that is true in our financial life as well! We invite the X and Y Generation to a free workshop entitled Money Topics every Millennial, X & Y Generation should know! to be held in three sessions.

CCE-Steuben is offering this financial workshop series to focus on the challenges these generations are faced with in their everyday lives. Join them for three workshops led by Amy Irvine, CFP®, EA, CASL®, MPAS®, Irvine Wealth Planning Strategies (representing the X generation) and Caitlin Fuller, CFP®, Market Street Trust Company (representing the Y generation) in an interactive series.

This third session will cover retirement and financial advisor fees:

Retirement can be a time to explore new possibilities or to slow down and fully enjoy the life you spent your working years building—or it can be a bit of both. Will you be ready? Do you need a financial advisor to help you? The speakers will talk about retirement planning including savings and investment options and how much you should be saving. They will also cover how financial advisors get paid – what is the difference between fee-only, fee-based and commission, and what other fees will there be?

The workshop is free but registration is requested by calling 607-664-2300.
