Annie's Project is an introductory agricultural risk management program designed to empower women in managing farm business decision making. The target audience is farm women with a passion for business and an involvement in today's farming industry.

Annie's Project is a six-week course designed for today's technology based information systems used in agricultural business decision making and will help participants build a network of personal support regionally and statewide.

Sessions will run approximately 4 hours and will combine lecture, discussion, individual and small group activities, and software training and address risk management in agricultural production, farm business planning, financial statements, recordkeeping, marketing, estate planning, and employee relations. We will offer the 6-week course in the winter of 2020

Annie was a woman who grew up in a small town in Northern Illinois. Her goal was to marry a farmer and she did. Annie spent her lifetime learning how to be an involved business partner with her farm husband. Together they did great things, but it wasn’t easy. This is Annie’s Project – to take her experiences and share them with farm women living and working in a complex business. Read Annie’s Story (PDF)
