About Going Solar!

We are a community based non-profit working with local volunteers to make the Southern Tier of NY healthier and more sustainable. Our primary focus is renewable energy. We help residents and small business owners go solar. In order to accomplish this, we’ve partnered with three excellent installers to streamline the process of going solar. Going Solar! Southern Tier Central was a grant-funded project to enhance renewable energy education in Tompkins, Chemung, Schuyler, and Steuben Counties that ran through 2018. NYSERDA maintains a map of current NYSERDA-supported solar campaigns.
