Join Anna Wallis, Fruit IPM Coordinator for Cornell IPM at Cornell AgriTech, and Elizabeth Lamb, Ornamental IPM Coordinator for Cornell Integrated Pest Management, as they discuss economically significant tree fruit pests, with a focus on key insects and diseases. They will be covering identification and damage caused by the pests, as well as monitoring and scouting methods. Additionally, they will cover biocontrol basics, identification of common beneficial insects and how to encourage them in your orchards. While addition of beneficial insects in outdoor settings is not common, they will discuss some potential uses in NYS fruit production.
