Cornell Cooperative Extension shares information on urgent decision making for dairy calf health

Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Regional Dairy Specialists would like to invite dairy producers, employees, and agribusiness professionals across the state to join a series of 7 webinars focused on “Critical Calf Care: Urgent Decision Making for Dairy Calf Health”. This virtual learning opportunity will be offered every Tuesday beginning at 12:30pm (EST) for 7 consecutive weeks January 5th – February 16th, 2021. This virtual learning opportunity will be accessible over ZOOM with presentations and discussion. Topics covered will include recognizing and diagnosing disease, dystocia and difficult calvings, record keeping and the economics of disease, hydration and electrolytes, scours and nutrition, and emergency situations. Presenters will include CCE Regional Dairy Specialists, Alycia Drwencke, Casey Havekes, Betsy Hicks, and Margaret Quaassdorff. 

This series will be offered every Tuesday starting January 5, 2021 at 12:30pm EST through the Zoom platform.

The final session in the series (February 16th, 2021), will be a one hour panel discussion with industry experts, Dr. Fernando Soberon with Standard Nutrition Consultants, Dr. Rodrigo Molano Torres with Valacta, Dr. Laura Rath-Brown with Midstate Veterinary Services, Dr. Jen Walker with Danone North America, and a local NY dairy producer.
