Temporary Nutrition Summer Educator
April 2017-September 2017

The nutritionist will deliver nutrition education to SNAP recipients and SNAP-eligible adults and youth in Steuben, Yates, and Schuyler Counties with programmatic guidance from the Issue Leader for the Finger Lakes Eat Smart NY program in consultation with the Executive Directors of CCE Steuben, CCE Yates and CCE Schuyler. Particular emphasis will be placed on Farmers Markets that have EBT machines and events in low income school districts (all areas of all 3 counties). S/he will also assist with environmental work and distribute social marketing materials to priority sites as assigned. In addition to SNAP-Ed responsibilities, the nutritionist will spend approximately 6 hours per week coordinating and facilitating educational workshops for the Cornell CO-CSA Project.
