Do you have a passion for woodworking, cooking, photography or some other skill that you would like to share? Do you know a child that needs a break from screen time or that needs to learn lasting life skills? You can make a difference in our young generation by assisting with our 4-H members. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Steuben County’s 4-H/Youth Development Program is looking for new leaders. Come share your expertise and learn some new life skills along with the kids!
The 4-H Program will provide all the tools you need to make a difference in a child’s life. They will be offering New Leader Training on September 22 or call to schedule a private session. When creating a club you can pick your own time – weekly, bi-weekly , monthly or whatever meets your schedule. CCE Steuben will also be offering additional projects county wide to add to that time. Choose your projects based on your interests - we offer everything from animal science to sewing to robotics. CCE Steuben offers local staff support every step of the way. Out of pocket costs are minimal because county fundraising efforts support most of the materials.
Contact Steuben 4-H/Youth Program Leader Jenny Groen at 607-664-2576 or 4-H/Youth Educator Ainsley Owens at 607-664-2571 to find out how you can get started. For more information on the Steuben 4-H/Youth Development program call 607-664-2300 or visit PutKnowledgeToWork.org. Come share your passions and skills with our young generation.
