Justine Patterson works with CCE Steuben as the Project Director for the SNAP Ed New York program that serves a six-county region in the Southern Finger Lakes and supervises a team of 11. The SNAP-Ed program provides free nutrition education and workshops for those who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). A Horseheads graduate, Justine holds a Master’s degree in Community and School Health Education from Ithaca College and a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education from Canisius College. Previously, she served as Senior Nutritionist at CCE Steuben with the SNAP Ed New York program, and also as a Youth Program Coordinator for the Chemung County Youth Bureau and a Health/PE teacher for the Horseheads Central School District.

Justine provides leadership in developing, implementing and evaluation of educational programs and supervision of staff as part of the SNAP Ed New York program. She helps identify regional program needs, collaborates on Policy, System, and Environmental change initiatives, and serves as a subject matter resource to schools, agencies, and other identified groups. Her goal is to make a positive impact on the community through nutrition, health, and wellness.

She is married and lives in Elmira where she developed her passion for education, helping the community, and health from her parents. She enjoys cooking, baking, swimming, kayaking, exploring the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Her ambitious, driven, and organized personality help her work in a challenging and fast-paced professional environment, including working with her SNAP Ed New York and Steuben County teams.
