Sheep

Sheep projects are particularly desirable youth activities in many areas of New York State. The sheep project also provides opportunities for youth to develop responsibility, decision making, patience and understanding by regularly caring for their project animals. In addition to feeding and health care, 4-Hers learn about nutrition, physiology, reproduction, marketing and the economic importance of the livestock industry as well as record keeping skills.
